Littlest Heros Project

About a week ago, a friend told me about the littlest hero project. She was in need of a photographer for her son who was accepted to this program. Unfortunately - there were no photographers on the western slope. I read all about the program and decided that it was definitely something that I wanted to be involved with. Two days ago, I found out that I was accepted as a photographer for this amazing project! I am so excited to be able to be a photographer for this program. I strongly recommend that you check out this amazing program and see what a difference it can make in the lives of the families that are involved!

Camping Trip

Last weekend we took our Girl Scout troop camping for the first time. We camped up near Blue Mesa reservoir. It was a beautiful place to camp. We had a total of five girls and their families join us.
The lupines were blooming beautifully all around our camp!

The dad and daughter in this family camped with us, but the rest of the family hung out with us on both Saturday & Sunday so we got a nice family picture of all of them!

Dance Pictures

Here are a couple of pictures I took of the girls dancing Mother's Day weekend. They tap danced to Star Wars & the Jazz danced to Fame. It was a very cute recital!

Pictures from our Utah vacation

School is finally out and I have a little bit of time to get the pictures posted that I have promised. We spent five days in the desert in Utah at the end of April and I got some great pictures.


This is called the notch. It is an area where the sand meets up with the sandstone and allows the motorcycles to ride up on top of the sandstone rock.


This is a picture of my husband after riding up and down the notch several times. The lighting was awesome and we had a great time watching the boys ride the notch!

This is my brother driving his buddy Matt's jeep. Matt was in the passenger seat! They made it all the way up into Red Wash and celebrated by climbing the wall at the end of the wash!


It wouldn't be a family vacation without at least one picture of the kids. We try to take them to this same spot at least once a year to get their pictures. It is amazing to see how much they have grown since we first found this spot!
So - that is our vacation in a nutshell. We always have a great time out there and we look forward to our next trip out there in the fall! I'll be working on putting up some pictures of the girls dance recital in the next week.

Spring 2010 Special

It has been a very busy couple of weeks. My family went out to the desert in Utah for a short vacation two weeks ago. We spent five days riding our ATV's and hanging out with our family and some great friends. This past weekend was of course Mother's Day weekend. Our daughters had their dance recital on both Saturday evening and Sunday morning. It was a great recital and both girls danced very well! I will post a few pictures to the blog in the coming days!

Welcome to our blog!

As I am getting my photography business up and running, I decided that it would be important for me to have a place where clients could come and get a sneak peek of the work we do together at our sessions. I also want to have a way of letting everyone know what is going on with our business and to have a place where you can get to know me a little better. We have designed this blog with those things in mind. I hope that you will want to check back often to see what I am up to and that you will enjoy seeing the sneak peeks that I will provide here.

We enjoy riding our ATV's and dirtbikes in the Colorado mountains as well as the dessert in Utah.
