Littlest Heros Photo Shoot

I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot through the littlest heros project for this family. Their youngest son was born with Down's syndrome. They have an amazing attitude in dealing with their son's diagnosis and make it clear that he is not limited by the fact that he has Down's. He has a big brother and a big sister that he adores and you can tell that they have so much love for him as well!

This is little J. He is an adorable little guy with an amazing personality!

Here are the three siblings together.

I'm hoping that the family enjoys this sneak peek while I finish editing the rest of the pictures. This was a wonderful family to work with and I hope to be able to take their pictures again soon!

July 1, 2010

It is so hard to believe that it is July already! We have had a busy couple of weeks as a family. Two and a half weeks ago we made a quick trip to Denver to join my sister for the lupus walk. It was a very soggy time, but great to be out there supporting her. Adam and I left for home shortly after the walk - leaving the kids to hang out in Denver for a couple of weeks. While they were having tons of fun in Denver, Adam and I demolished and re-poured part of the driveway and started on the remodeling of our kitchen and the kids bathroom. We have made great progress with both & will hopefully be done very soon! We did take a break last weekend though. We had tickets to the AMA pro national motocross race at Thunder Valley Raceway in Lakewood, so we went to pick up the kids & go to the race. The race was a ton of fun and I got some great pics while we were there. On the way back home we took a side trip and went to Rainbow lake to scout out a campsite. It was beautiful up there and again - I got some more great pics!

Finally a good picture of him without a goofy face!

This was on the way to Rainbow Lake. We stopped to take some pretty waterfall pictures.

Littlest Heros Project

About a week ago, a friend told me about the littlest hero project. She was in need of a photographer for her son who was accepted to this program. Unfortunately - there were no photographers on the western slope. I read all about the program and decided that it was definitely something that I wanted to be involved with. Two days ago, I found out that I was accepted as a photographer for this amazing project! I am so excited to be able to be a photographer for this program. I strongly recommend that you check out this amazing program and see what a difference it can make in the lives of the families that are involved!

Camping Trip

Last weekend we took our Girl Scout troop camping for the first time. We camped up near Blue Mesa reservoir. It was a beautiful place to camp. We had a total of five girls and their families join us.
The lupines were blooming beautifully all around our camp!

This is a picture of the group that went camping with us.

This is a picture of the girls who came on the campout.

We also took some family pictures while we were there. The flowers made a great background!
This is my family in all of our camping glory!

These are the other families that camped with us.

The dad and daughter in this family camped with us, but the rest of the family hung out with us on both Saturday & Sunday so we got a nice family picture of all of them!

Dance Pictures

Here are a couple of pictures I took of the girls dancing Mother's Day weekend. They tap danced to Star Wars & the Jazz danced to Fame. It was a very cute recital!
